Terms.

Rules for the free multiplayer demo, nicknames, chat and reporting problems.

Effective date:

01 / OPERATOR

Who provides the demo?

Dominik Jeleśniański, Sól 234, 34-370 Sól, Poland; NIP: 5532567721. Contact: jelongames@gmail.com.

These terms cover the free public browser demo and its multiplayer features on chickensmustdie.com. They do not grant a commercial source-code licence or replace the product terms and licence presented with the paid starter on itch.io.

02 / SERVICE AND REQUIREMENTS

Playing the demo

The service provides a browser game with online multiplayer, temporary player nicknames and in-game text chat. You need an internet connection and a modern browser capable of running the game's WebAssembly and graphics features, with JavaScript and the required network connections enabled. Device performance, browser settings and network restrictions may affect compatibility.

No paid subscription or website account is required. The demo is available while its servers are operating; maintenance, technical faults and updates can interrupt a session. These terms do not promise permanent demo hosting or continuous availability. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

03 / STARTING AND LEAVING

Your game session

These terms must be available before you join. By choosing to start or join the demo after having access to them, you request the free demo service under these terms. You can end a session at any time by leaving the game or closing its tab. A disconnection or room closure also ends the session. There is no cancellation charge.

Minors must involve a parent or guardian where authorisation is required by applicable law. Accepting these terms is separate from any optional Analytics consent.

04 / NICKNAMES AND CHAT

Play fairly and safely

  • Do not send unlawful content, threats, harassment, sexual exploitation content, or material that infringes another person's rights.
  • Do not publish someone else's private information, impersonate another person, spam players or attempt to obtain their passwords or payment details.
  • Do not attack the servers, interfere with other players' connections or deliberately misuse the service to disrupt play.
  • Use a fictional nickname and do not share identifying or sensitive information about yourself in public chat. Be especially careful when communicating with children.

Other players can see and copy your nickname and chat messages. Do not assume chat is private or supervised continuously. Online communication carries risks including unwanted messages, impersonation and phishing; do not follow suspicious links or disclose secrets.

A session or access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to stop abuse, protect users or comply with law. Restrictions should be proportionate to the incident. You can contact me to challenge a restriction or report a problem.

05 / REPORTS AND COMPLAINTS

Report a problem

Email jelongames@gmail.com with a description, approximate time, room or session details if known, and a reply address. For an abuse report, include the relevant message or screenshot if you have it, avoiding unnecessary personal information. You do not need to create an account or pay to make a report.

I will investigate and respond as soon as reasonably possible, normally within 14 days of receiving a complaint. Any shorter mandatory deadline under applicable law prevails. Complaints about a purchase should identify the itch.io order and concern the separate product terms; itch.io's payment support may also be involved.

06 / PRIVACY

Data and Analytics

The Privacy Policy explains connection data, temporary nicknames and chat, technical logs, support messages and optional Analytics. Analytics is not required to use the demo. A purchase does not grant permission to collect player data from a buyer's independently hosted game.

07 / RIGHTS AND CHANGES

Content and applicable law

You may access and play the public demo for its intended purpose. This permission does not grant the right to redistribute the starter source code or third-party assets; those uses require the relevant licences.

Polish law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections applicable under the law of their habitual residence. Mandatory liability and consumer rights are not excluded. These terms may be updated for future sessions; the date above identifies the current version, and changes do not retrospectively rewrite completed sessions.
